1991

North Lakeside Cultural Center

At the invitation of Artist and Cultural Director Jose Andreau, Nelson turned half the second floor of this institution into multi-media labyrinth that went floor to ceiling. The labyrinth was an immersive critique of the war in Iraq under the guise of "Project Blood for Oil."

GringoLandia II

Nelson perceived this project as a sequel to his 1990 installation at ARC Gallery's-Raw Space, titled "GringoLandia."

Video footage

Talent walking through labyrinth is fellow artist Patricia Martinez of McKinley Park neighborhood in Chicago.
