In our Pilsen-Chicago community

  • Pilsen has historically been a strong working class neighborhood in the city of Chicago since the 1800's. For the past 50 years the population has been predominantly Mexican and Central American. The Arts and Cultural Events have attracted many visitors and tourists, the main attraction being the National Museum of Mexican Art and Fiesta del Sol. We now find our selves going on the offense against the tide of realty developers, outside entrepreneurs. This is causing many families to be economically driven from rising rent and property taxes. It will be only by our unity and sharing of talents that we might slow down the aggression in time to protect the vulnerable.  These are some organizations working to do their part. If you are an organization or a business in Pilsen that is engaged with or assisting the community, feel free to send me your logo and link to your website.
